Pack Trip FAQs

How much horseback experience is necessary?

This is probably the most commonly asked question. The simple answer is none. We have horses that have been carrying novice riders to the mountains for years. Since our trips are custom tailored to the clients experience level, it is very easy for us to take beginner riders on beginner trails. On the flip side, we have trips that are suitable for very experienced riders. While the horse used are still experienced, trail-wise steeds, it is the trails that add the challenging element.

Activity Level?

Medium to strenuous. Even though the majority of travel is done horseback, being physically fit is important. People who are overweight or not physically active, will have difficulty enjoying themselves on our trips.

Where do we fly/drive to?

Unless otherwise noted, all trips will begin and end in Cody, Wyoming.
