2006 HUNTING SEASON IN REVIEW
Another good season for us here in Wyoming. We were able
to spend some great times with old friends and got to meet some new ones.
This year was pretty much an average one for us. A lot of great trophies
were seen and some good ones taken.
I took the time to look at our numbers from the past nine seasons and
was happy with what I saw. We have hosted 256 rifle elk hunters with
a 76% kill. 128 archers have taken 54 bulls for a 46% kill. Our deer
hunters have had an 83% kill with 129 hunters taking home 107 bucks.
Notice these numbers are kill numbers, not opportunity or shots missed.
Granted, this high of a success rate has a lot to do with the game rich
area we hunt, but without the knowledge and experience of our guides,
not to mention the hard hunting clients who show up year after year,
these numbers could be quite a bit different. Kill numbers aside, we
have enjoyed a very high overall client satisfaction rate. Our number
of return clients along with word-of-mouth referrals is indicative of
this.
So if you are looking for a place to hunt where you have an excellent
chance of taking a trophy and having a great time, we believe we have
the hunt for you.

Just the Facts
Archery Elk: 15 hunters took 5 bulls. A lot of bulls seen with good shot opportunity for most of the hunters. Biggest bull: 358.
Rifle Elk:28 hunters took 20 bulls. A good number of big bulls were seen, but not taken. Biggest Bull: 350.
Mule Deer:17 hunters took 15 bucks. We saw a lot of bucks that will be good bucks for next year. Biggest buck: 172.
