2005 HUNTING SEASON IN REVIEW

I’ve always preached about how the hunt should be more about the hunt rather than the kill, but when you take a
great trophy, like the bull Keith Hamilton killed, it’s kind of hard not to brag just a little. Anytime you can see a bull
over 400 hit the ground on a fair chase wilderness hunt, it’s something else. You always hear how New Mexico or Arizona
are the places to go for the big bulls, but here’s proof positive they’re in our backyard too. This past summer was
wet, with a good amount of feed, which translated into great horn growth. We took some bulls in the 350 class and our
second biggest was 363. This was definitely a good year, but if you’ve followed us throughout the years, you know we
consistently take good bulls & bucks. And on top of that, we provide a great hunt. You can’t get any better than that!

Good hunting,

Lee & Laurie Livingston

Just the Facts

Archery Elk: 17 hunters took 4 bulls. Pretty much an average season for us during archery. As usual, there were a lot
of bulls seen with good shot opportunity for most of the hunters. Biggest bull: 318.

Rifle Elk: 31 hunters took 21 bulls. We had some good snow early, but this was counter-balanced with a full moon and
warm weather on the last camp hunt. Biggest Bull: 410 5/8!!

Mule Deer: 21 hunters took 12 bucks. There wasn’t a lot of migration and this meant having to hunt harder for the big
bucks. Biggest buck: 170
